Are you prepared to Buy or Sell? ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌
This past year has been a rollercoaster ride for real estate. We have been dealing with a worsening inventory supply for several years. Add a pandemic to the mix and - POW! - a scant inventory plummeted to rock bottom numbers last spring when many sellers decided to stay put, or were perhaps forced to do so due to these extraordinary times. According to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors®, the number of homes for sale is down 64% in many areas over this same timeframe last year.

Buyers - you may be wondering if you stand any chance of buying a home right now with the low inventory and heavy competition. The short answer is YES, absolutely. With interest rates being so low, you are still wise to buy now even with home prices continuing to increase. However, you need to be prepared, and this cannot be over-emphasized.

Next steps:
  • Get your finances in order and call your lender for a pre-approval before you start shopping for homes.
  • Connect with your realtor (me!) -- we urgently need to discuss strategy.
  • Buckle up. We are going to have some fun, but it might be a bumpy ride!

Sellers - you are in the driver’s seat. Period. Call us now to get a free market analysis to find out what your home is worth. We have access to the most up-to-date market statistics that will inform you about local home values, competitive offer situations, transaction timelines, etc. You should be as prepared as buyers need to be, because it is very likely that your home will not stay on the market for long.

Let us help you prepare for your next move!
